Dinamica® by Miko, a microfibre similar to suede obtained from the recovery of PU, has started a collaboration with Re49, a brand of sustainable footwear, to give life to textile industrial waste destined for the automotive sector.
Miko srl – an Italian company that produces Dinamica®, the innovative microfibre made with a part of recycled polyester – and Re49 – a brand founded in the small town of Gonars (UD) in 1949 and today specialised in sustainable footwear in circular economy – have collaborated to produce a limited edition capsule collection of footwear made with the innovative Dinamica® microfibre.
The innovative element that makes Dinamica® unique is its extended circularity, because the production line and the entire organisation have been following the lines of the circular economy and a series of ethical principles since 1997. With the project conceived in collaboration with Re49, this process is further extended: in fact, the microfibre used to make the collection comes from the processing waste initially destined for the interiors of high-end car manufacturers with which Miko collaborates.
The five models in the collection have classic lines that rediscover everyday wearability: a Stage boot, a classic RE49 boot that was a finalist for the Compasso D’oro 2024 and the Green Product Award 2023, which rediscovers itself in a casual-elegant guise; the Lifestyle trainer, a classic desert boot; the winter Rock and the more fashionable Ruffled Boot, with its plisset that makes it versatile.
A further innovative element is the unique NFT associated with the collection, certifying its origin and production steps. Under the right logo of each shoe is an NFT code that allows, via smartphone, to know the blockchain-certified history.
