Waves of Innovation

Milan Design Week 2025

Dinamica presents its light-art installation at Fuorisalone 2025

During Milan Design Week 2025, Dinamica took center stage with an event that seamlessly blended design, luxury, and technology through a new artistic language. “Waves of Innovation”, the light-art installation developed for the Dinamica Lounge format, transformed the garden of VMaison Hotel in the heart of Brera into a space where light and sound came together to create a contemporary and evocative narrative.

Lamborghini Temerario in the spotlight

On April 10, 2025, the Lamborghini Temerario super sports car became both icon and interpreter of a project that celebrates performance, aesthetics, and innovation. Surrounded by sinuous choreographies of light, the car embodied the idea of luxury projected into the future, where power and design coexist in perfect balance.

Its interiors, upholstered in Corsa Tex by Dinamica, highlighted the excellence of a suede that combines softness and durability. In Automobili Lamborghini’s supercars, this material is not only an aesthetic element but also a statement of innovation.

A visual and sound ecosystem

The installation created an ecosystem where waves of light echoed the fluid movement of water, a direct symbol of Dinamica®’s water-based production process.

Through sophisticated three-dimensional pixel mapping technology, light became a narrative medium, guiding guests through a visual and sonic journey enriched by the new High Premium Audio system developed by Sonus faber for Lamborghini Temerario.

Brina Knauss sets the rhythm

Marking the transformation of the installation, international DJ and producer Brina Knauss infused the evening with her elegant, modern sound – moving between melodic techno and deep house. Her set, synchronized with the projections, amplified the dialogue between light and matter, merging music and design into a single sensory narrative.

Words from Miko

Dinamica Lounge is not just an event to attend, but a journey that unites design, technology, and luxury,” said Lorenzo Terraneo, CEO of Miko. “Collaborating with an iconic brand like Automobili Lamborghini allows us to push the boundaries of creativity, highlighting the value of Dinamica and offering an experience that blends performance and aesthetics. This event represents an important moment for us to strengthen our role in the fashion, luxury, and design sectors.”

A format in constant evolution

With “Waves of Innovation”, Dinamica launches a format that will evolve year after year, turning Fuorisalone into a laboratory where innovative materials, light-art, and music create new forms of dialogue between brands, design, and the public.

A project that confirms Dinamica’s role as a leading interpreter in the world of luxury and design, capable of merging innovation and vision into experiences that leave a lasting impression.

Neoclassic Impressions

D-house laboratorio urbano opens its doors during Milan Design Week 2024 to present Neoclassic Impressions, the new project conceived by Vito Colacurcio and realized with the innovative microfiber Dinamica®.

D-house Urban Laboratory, the Innovation Hub of the Pattern Group, with a pioneering approach to the application of new technologies in the fashion, design, and automotive sectors, presents projects and innovative perspectives where new technologies are explored through creativity, promoting the evolution of new technological paradigms.

During Milan Design Week, Miko Srl, an Italian company producing Dinamica®, meets D-house laboratorio urbano. From the synergy between these two entities takes shape Neoclassic Impressions, conceived by Designer Vito Colacurcio. The project is a creative experience aimed at redefining the boundaries between fashion and classical art. A moment of exchange where ideas, concepts, and applications translate into products, from theatrical essence to the limits of “possibility.”

A prevailing citationism between past and future, where technology embraces contemporaneity. The versatility of Dinamica®, the innovative microfiber with a suede-like appearance composed of recycled polyester*, is highlighted in a collection of bags where past and future converge, creating an emotional balance to immerse oneself in. Dinamica®, through this project, fully expresses the potential of its applications, not only in the high-end automotive sector but also in fashion: accessories that inhabit the wardrobe and accompany daily life take on a new interpretation, thus becoming a synthesis of its technological potential.

A neutral environment will capture the visitor’s attention through touches of modern avant-garde. On one side, the exhibition leads us to discover a display of plaster works where, among neoclassical statues, the artist’s tools stand out, showing how human capabilities transform the impossible into possible. Upon crossing the threshold of the installation, visitors step into a neutral environment, where the vibrant blue of the moving columns, reminiscent of neoclassical style, catches the eye, along with the motion of five carillons presented in a pop-inspired way. Bags displayed on the columns, as precious artifacts, are born from the designer’s skill in giving a face to a historical movement, Neoclassicism, and translating it onto the details of these accessories: from clutches to pouches, passing through thermoformed buckets, classic and modern meet to create a striking result.

“I imagined moving in a classic scenario by applying cutting-edge technologies and using an innovative material” says Vito Colacurcio. Each object is designed to enhance the characteristics and versatility of Dinamica® and tells the “traditional” in a contemporary way. Thermoforming allowed me to create complex and detailed shapes, embossing added texture and depth to surfaces; while 3D printing made possible the layering of shapes and visual contents. The soft drapes, reminiscent of togas, and tubular weaves, reminiscent of Greek statue hairstyles, catapult us into handcrafted craftsmanship. An opportunity for dialogue and discussion towards innovation”.

“This collaboration with D-house and with designer Vito Colacurcio establishes a dialogue between completely different worlds that, only apparently, have nothing in common. Fashion, art, and technology come together to create unique accessories that reveal a timeless beauty, attributable to the neoclassical lines typical of those sculptures capable of striking the soul of those who observe them, arousing unique and authentic emotions,” says Benedetta Terraneo, Business Manager of Miko. “This project highlights the versatility of our Dinamica® microfiber which, in addition to being suitable for automotive applications, thanks to its characteristics, perfectly suits the world of fashion.”
The project was coordinated by D-house laboratorio urbano, in the heart of Milan, while the exhibited artifacts were produced by Dyloan Bond Factory, a production hub of Pattern Group, with the contribution of E.T. srl companies. The 3D printing elements were created thanks to the Stratasys printer, one of the Partners of the urban laboratory.

“With the Neoclassic Impressions project, we have combined classic elegance and modern innovation, creating accessories that redefine the boundaries of fashion,” explains Loreto Di Rienzo, R&D Director of D-house. “Through the collaboration between our urban laboratory, Miko, and designer Vito Colacurcio, we presented a series of unique bags where technology, combined with sustainability, plays a prominent role. Each accessory tells a story of seamless integration between tradition and technology, inviting emotional exploration. A testimony to the creative synergy between companies, where every detail spoke of our commitment to excellence and responsibility in fashion towards the company.”

Habitacolo

Milano Design Week – from 17 to 23 Aprile 2023

Habitacolo: a multidimentional experience

Habitacolo (at home as in the car and vice versa) the D-house project realized for Dinamica is a sensory experience of Dinamica suede inside a car journey designed by the designers Luca De Bona and Dario De Meo from Debonademeo Studio.

Habitacolo (at home as in the car and vice versa) the D-house project realized for Dinamica is a sensory experience of Dinamica suede inside a car journey designed by the designers Luca De Bona and Dario De Meo from Debonademeo Studio.

The set-up designed for the Salone del Mobile 2023 aims to amplify this behavioral code made of senses and sensations, in a dreamlike vision that ideally turns off the spotlight on the mechanical and metallic meaning of the car, to intensify the physical and sensory component. The context linked to the world of travel and motorization is the backdrop for symbolic objects. Dinamica® associated with D-house technologies, greatly improves the aesthetic, and adds value to created items. The name of the project Habitacolo shares the Latin derivation habitus with the Italian word’s habitat, abitare, ambiente e abito.

Guided by his senses, the visitor will be able to wander around in a space characterized by the presence of six brackets which house different experiential objects called EXP-01, 02, 03, 04, 06. These are symbolic objects which, through their craftwork and material, create an empathetic relationship with the observer called to perform instinctive gestures and use its senses to rediscover the cocooned beauty of one’s car even outside of it. Hence the need to transport the aesthetic and microfiber sensations of being in the car out of the passenger compartment, through a capsule collection of objects designed for clothing and furniture (slippers, steering wheel covers, glasses cases, bottle holders, covers for electronic objects, personalized perfumes) capable of dialoguing with our senses and reactivating the memory and the beneficial sensations of travel. As in daily life or in the scenes of some movies, the interior of the car becomes the ideal set to reflect, talk, eat, listen to music, isolate yourself from the world or be surrounded by good company.

The project, in collaboration with ET s.r.l, saw the involvement of Dyloan Bond Factory and ShapeMode, competence center specialized in Digital Fabrication, Additive Manufacturing and DfAM (design for additive). Vibram with its know-how contributed to the production of some artifacts which are part of the exhibition. VZNstudio also have taken part to the project with the graphics.

The Hornythologist

Milano Design Week – from 6 to 12 Giugno 2022

Explore the exciting world of birds with a new set of Dinamica accessories. A project about the exciting world of birdwatching

Project Concept

The ornithologist studies the most exotic and endangered birds. Constantly traveling, he is always looking for new bird species to analyze and learn from; at each of his stops, in the most remote places in the world, he takes an egg for every new species and adds it to his egg bank – a huge collection that the ornithologist has created to preserve and restore new life. The goal of the project is to give the visitor a 360° experience, immersing him in the recreated environment-of the “Traveler Ornithologist”.

Dinamica

«In a particular historical moment like the one we live in, getting closer to nature to be able to observe it closely, without filters, is a wise choice. Perhaps we should all be a little curious and courageous like the ornithologist, pushing ourselves beyond what society proposes to us as truth, by going ourselves in search of answers. In this journey alongside exotic nature, our suede and the design made by our partners create the perfect mood for an immersive experience outside the box “, said Benedetta Terraneo about Dinamica’s collaboration for the The Hornytologist project.

The designer

Matteo Cibic

“While embarking on adventures to discover rare birds in remote areas of the world, it is important to bring accessories with high-performance and silent fabrics. Dinamica is a very resistant and silent material even when stressed in extreme environments, always guaranteeing comfort and softness. This installation presents travel accessories designed for adventures in the jungle, made entirely by sophisticated robots of the future that weld and laminate fabrics, print transparent 3D plastics and embroider hyper-resistant yarns. A travel bag, a mattress, a multi-accessorized poncho, a visor, and a backpack tank are just some of the products made in the laboratories of D-house, a research and production center for clothing technologies that could remember a James Bond workshop.”

Tiziano Guardini

“My aim is to reinterpret the ancient patchwork technique in a technical key. Thanks to Dyloan’s strong experience in the innovative application of technologies, we were able to combine different colours and represent the ornithologist’s dream of becoming himself a part of nature. A message of connection and a journey of awareness in which we rediscover ourselves listening to and observing nature in search of its mysteries.”

Vibram

Journey is an important chapter for Vibram. Vibram Furoshiki and Vibram One Quarter are two of the greatest exponents of this philosophy. Following in the footsteps left by past experiences of Vibram, we have explored Vibram history in the business of producing high-performance soles and have acquired a “know-how” recognized all over the world that has allowed us to make the “journey” more convenient, safe and comfortable. And we have encapsulated it in these reinterpretations of the iconic models. In this reinterpretation, the choice of the “crow’s foot” pattern not only refers to the passion of the protagonist of the exhibition but allows a rigid fabric to extend and take a new shape in the wrapping.

Laura De La Vega

The path of The Hornythologist like a precious thread develops through the alleys in Milan tying together memories from the tradition to the new spawns of the latest technologies. The emerging creativity of Laura de La Vega shows it with two iconic masterpieces.
